As the Mayor’s designee, the Chief Administrative Officer directs the administration and implementation of the policies and goals formulated by the Town Council and offers alternative solutions to community problems for Town Council consideration. These responsibilities include advising the Council on present and future financial, personnel and program needs, implementing immediate and long-range Town priorities, establishing procedures which will assist the Town in serving its citizens, business community, coordinates with the Mayor’s office to prepare the annual budget and supervising Town department heads. The Chief Administrative Officer is also heavily involved in the coordination of the larger economic development projects as well as program evaluation and policy analysis.
Roger was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has an MPA in Public Administration from Bernard Baruch College, New York City; a Bachelor Degree in Sociology from the University of Florida. Roger is a National Urban Fellow with over 25 years of experience in the public sector. Some of his experiences include executive management, economic & community development, public works, redevelopment agencies, utilities, construction management, capital projects, and government finance. Roger worked as the Public Works-Capital Projects Director for Eatonville from 2004 thru 2008. Roger left government for a short period and started teaching middle school math and high school critical thinking, and interpersonal behavior and became “teacher of the year” in an unprecedented time of three months. Roger is married to Samiah Dixon and father to Teah, Roger, Jr., Tatiana, Donovan, Kalina, Devin, and grandson Jax.
