Eatonville is a town in Orange County, Florida, located six miles north of downtown Orlando and less than 20 miles from the Orlando International Airport off of Interstate 4.

Interstate 4 is a primary interstate highway in the Orlando Metropolitan Area, providing access to Daytona Beach to the north and Tampa to the southwest.

According to the 2007 Census Bureau Report, The Town of Eatonville has a total area of 2.8 km.

The Town’s major thoroughfare is Kennedy Boulevard which runs east and west through the heart of the community. A secondary traffic artery is Wymore Road which borders Interstate Highway 4 on the East. Wymore Road links Eatonville to Winter Park to the south and Altamonte Springs to the north.

Taking into consideration the constant flow of local traffic and the high volume of tourism, The Town of Eatonville and its partners possess considerable potential for economic development. According to the Huntley Partners Eatonville Cultural Campus 2009 draft report, Eatonville exist within an immediate "Total Resident Market of approximately 3,841,300 in 2007 with an over all projected 16.6 percent increase to 4,477,300 by 2012."

While tourism in Florida continues to serve as a large source of revenue for the state, research indicates that Eatonville is directly located in the "Central Vacation Region, an area that draws almost 35 percent of the visitors to the region; in essence 45.1 million domestic visitors vacationed in Orlando in 2006." Eatonville also serves as key location for African-American culture due to the Town’s rich and deep history. Eatonville (Est. 1887) is the nation’s oldest incorporated African-American township. One of the shining beacons to this community is the Zora Neale-Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities. An annual event held throughout Orange County drawing a crowd of over 70,000 locals and tourist to the Town. (Huntley Partners, Inc)
