Mission Statement
The MISSION of the Community and Youth Services Department is to provide for health, inspiration and recreational opportunities for all Town of Eatonville residents through the creation and maintenance of high quality programs, facilities and community special events and through dedication and preservation of natural resources that ensure the opportunity for high quality leisure experiences for generations to come.
Objectives
1. Youth Sports
Community and Youth Services sports will offer a variety of leagues, clinics and camps. There are two objectives for these programs. The first is physical, such as attaining sport skills and increasing health and fitness. The second is character building, such as developing leadership skills, self discipline, and respect for authority, competitiveness, cooperativeness, sportsmanship, and self-confidence.
2. Senior Program
Community and Youth Services Seniors programs strives to provide quality recreational, educational and social programs to promote wellness and lifelong learning, while keeping our seniors involved in their community.
With a full schedule of classes, clubs and special events each month, Community and Youth Services Seniors program offerings will be a prime example of Eatonville's commitment to keeping our seniors involved in their community
3. Special Events and Rental Facilities
Revise for Council approval the rental facilities use agreement to include all leisure facilities owned by the Town of Eatonville including the Municipal Pool, Denton Johnson Community Center, Frances Jerry Park, Lake Lovely Park, Elizabeth Park, and Hungerford Gym.
4. Adult Programs
The purpose of the Community and Youth Services Adult Sports League are to develop, promote and regulate amateur adult sports in Eatonville and to establish rules and regulations governing all teams participating in any activity that will be beneficial to the well being of the participant and to stimulate wholesome recreational activities.
5. Aquatics Program
Enhance motor skills development, socialization and an acquisition to the aquatic environment through swimming lessons, leisure swim and water aerobics.
