Zora Neale Hurston Library
About this Branch
The Eatonville Branch Library which is named after Zora Neale Hurston, is a children's library featuring material and programming for children through the sixth grade.
Services and Programs
- The children's library collection includes books, audio books (tape and CD), informational and entertainment DVDs (with ratings G through PG-13), music CDs and LeapFrog Learning Pads for use within the branch.
- Twenty-one public computers offer Internet access, educational games (TuxPaint, Blue's Clues School, Ancient History, I Spy Fantasy, Exploring the World of Thomas Day, Inspiration 7.5, Little Bill Thinks Big, and Zoo Tycoon), word processing and online reference resources including the Library catalog.
- One meeting room is available for use by groups. Please contact the branch for more information.
- Regularly scheduled Story Programs each week. Tiny Tales for babies ages Birth to 18 months, Toddler Time for ages 18 to 36 months, Storybook Fun for Preschoolers.
- Various programs and displays for and about children are offered throughout the year.
