Eatonville's Founder's Day | Celebrating Our Rich Heritage Since 1887

Each year, we host our annual Founder's Day Celebration, honoring the unique history and vibrant culture of The Historic Town of Eatonville. Founded in 1887, Eatonville is one of the oldest Black-incorporated municipalities in the United States, a testament to the vision and resilience of our founders.

Our History

Eatonville was established by a group of freedmen who envisioned a town where African Americans could live, govern, and thrive independently. This dream became a reality on August 15, 1887, when Eatonville was officially incorporated. Our town's legacy is a testament to the resilience, strength, and determination of its founders and residents.

Annual Founder's Day Celebration
